Your client uses REG. Here is how to get connected.

REG is the platform your client uses to manage compliance and onboarding. Joining is free and takes about two minutes.

No subscription. No obligation. Free to join as a counterparty.

What is REG, and why have I been asked to join?

REG Technologies is a compliance and counterparty management platform used by insurers, MGAs and brokers across the UK insurance market. When your client uses REG, they manage all of their broker and partner relationships through it. That includes sending compliance documents, completing due diligence, and monitoring the businesses they trade with.

When they invite you to REG, they are bringing you into that process. It means they can send documents directly to you through the platform, track your responses, and manage your relationship in one place alongside all of their other counterparties.

It is not a request to buy anything. Joining as a counterparty is completely free.

Why is my client asking me to do this?

Insurance businesses are required to carry out ongoing compliance checks on the brokers and partners they work with. REG is the platform they use to manage that process. There are three practical reasons they are asking you to join:

  • They use REG to manage compliance and onboarding. Rather than sending documents by email and tracking responses in spreadsheets, your client handles all of this through REG in one place.

  • They need to exchange documents or information with you. This could be a Terms of Business Agreement, a compliance declaration, a fair value document, or an information request. REG is where they send and track all of these.

  • Having a REG account makes the process faster for both of you. Once you are connected, future document requests, renewals and information exchanges happen through the same platform without the back-and-forth of email.

What you will need to do

Three steps to get connected with your client through REG.

Step One

Create your free account

Register at portal.reg.uk.com. You will need your company details and a work email address. It takes around two minutes.

Step Two

Complete your profile

Add your company information so your client can see accurate details about your business. You can also review how your organisation currently appears within REG.

Step 3

Respond to your client

Once connected, you will be able to see and respond to any document requests, information forms or compliance exchanges your client has sent you through REG.

Your data and your privacy

REG collects and processes company and individual data to support compliance and due diligence processes. Before creating your account, here is what you should know.

What data REG holds

REG holds publicly available company information and regulatory data, including Companies House records, FCA registration details and credit information. This data is used to help regulated businesses carry out due diligence on their counterparties.

Your REG profile

When you register, you can review and improve how your organisation appears within REG. A more complete profile means fewer information requests from clients and a faster onboarding experience.

Security and compliance

REG is ISO 27001 certified and takes the security of your data seriously. Documents exchanged through the platform are stored securely with full audit trails. For full details, see our privacy policy.
